I confess that I have seen a lot of New Year's Eve days come and go and of course I have far more in my past than I certainly have in my future. And of course I've forgotten most of them but I do remember at least two of them, and one I did not like very much when I was young but I've come to appreciate it more and more...
But there was another years ago when I lived in Europe and listen to the BBC on New Year's Eve and heard a poem and a prayer that touched me deeply, and it's one that I always think about at this time every year. May I share it with you this evening.
